Microsoft Windows returns with start button.

When Microsoft launched Windows 8, people were pretty excited especially the tech peeps, but Microsoft didn't gave happiness to all. No, it was not as bad as Windows Vista instead it was far better than Vista. Windows 8 is, no doubt, awesome for tablets and mobiles, somehow few people couldn't digest the fact that it is not having a start button. It was like taking away its recognition.

But now Microsoft is going to launch Windows 8.1 very soon i.e. on October 18, 2013. And the noticing fact is that Microsoft included the start button has arrived again after a huge range of feedback. Its ad is showing the new fancy start button.

Microsoft is choosing to highlight the button return in a new Windows 8.1 ad. After launching a "Windows Everywhere" campaign back in June, the latest Windows 8.1 ad follows a similar pattern. It highlights the ability to start up to the desktop (boot to desktop) and "hit the start button to flip back and forth" between the desktop and "Metro" Start Screen. Similarly, it also ends by featuring a Windows tablet, PC, and Surface.

At Intel's developer forum recently, Microsoft's head of marketing, Tami Reller, revealed that the company's August activations for Windows 8 were the highest so far. Microsoft has been focusing on back to school promotions and it's gearing up for new PCs and its own Surface 2 release ahead of the holidays. After Surface and Windows tablets got off to a slow start last holiday, Microsoft has partnered up with Best Buy and some European retailers to create Windows Stores inside retail locations. The company clearly hopes the retail presence and new ads will help convince consumers to opt for a Windows tablet this fall.

The inevitable fun of Xbox one continuously for 10 years.

It seems like when you start your brand new Xbox one you cant just turn it off. Its not that you didn't want to its because you don't have to. You cant escape the inevitable fun of the Microsoft Xbox One.A highly placed source says that the console has been designed with a ten-year lifecycle in mind and that it is designed to be switched on for that entire period.

What's more, during that time it needs to operate almost silently in order to earn its place in the living room. It's a unique hardware challenge, and so the company opted for a large design where heat dissipation comes first. Microsoft's engineers are also aware that the company's reputation for quality hardware is still in the balance after the Red Ring of Death Xbox 360 build quality fiasco, which cost the company over a billion dollars.
Microsoft has not released any official specifications on the dimensions of the final box, but extrapolating from the sizes of known components (principally the USB port), Xbox One is approximately 34x26x8cm - more set-top box than console, and noticeably larger than the launch version of the Xbox 360.
Despite the near-final hardware present at E3, the conditions made it impossible for the any kind of audio testing to be carried out on-site, but developers working with the hardware tell sources that in its idle and low-activity states, the unit is entirely silent and you can barely feel any heat being output from the unit's vents.
The Microsoft is also trying to swift up the access speed of the Xbox as one of the key problems Microsoft engineers wanted to address was the lack of immediacy in current-gen console gameplay, where even the most family-friendly titles can take up to three minutes to load. A key plus point mobile games hold over console is the speed with which casual users can play, and it's an advantage that next-gen console is going to have trouble competing with.

Over and all, this time Microsoft is all set to raise the name again and beating up its arch opponents.

Microsoft Surface RT a failure..!!

If you are wondering to find a store near you, then you are at very right place. Find store here--

http://content.microsoftstore.com/en-US/Home.aspx

You have to enter your postal/zip code, and all the near by stores will appear.

JUST FOR THE RECORD, you know that the SURFACE RT has faced an epic failure. The credit may go to the confusing name and as well the OS.
It's ironic that apps — one of the areas that x86-versions of Windows have dominated the competition — is one of the biggest problems facing the Surface RT.
In short: There aren't enough apps built for Surface RT available within the Windows Store. The60,000 apps available in the Windows 8 store pale in comparison to the ~400,000 iPad specific apps in the App Store.
Its toatally a disaster to get RT if you are able to spend a few more buck s to buy PRO version. Why wouldn't anyone go for the better alternative.
Meanwhile, Microsoft isn't the only player in the Windows 8 tablet space. Asus, Samsung and Lenovo all have their own Windows 8 tablet or convertible notebooks at various price points.
The Post PC world is certainly upon us. The problem is, it doesn't seem to include room for the Microsoft Surface.
