List of Downloadable Computer Repair CDs

Sometimes you get unlucky enough that your computer crashes without you having any kind of backup. So, its not your fault (untill you take the sole responsibility :D) but this situation is very pathetic. I'm saying so because quite a few years before i faced this very similar kind of problem and i lost GBs of my very important and loving data in a flash. Yeah, sour memories, but i surely don't want that to happen to any of us. So guys, I've compiled a large list of CDs for various computer repair tasks. In this list, the following types of CD are available for download: Antivirus Boot CDs, Recovery Disks, Hardware Diagnostic Boot CDs, Network Testing/Monitoring, Data Recovery Boot CDs and Special Purpose CDs.

Some of these are free to download, some are not. Be sure to read the EULA for the CD’s you download and the applications you use to make sure you are allowed to use them in the manner you plan to use them in. Many of the CDs contain a variety of different programs and some of the applications are free to use as you please, but some of them disallow commercial use. So be sure to read and abide by the EULA for whatever you use.

Also, some of these CD’s may set off an antivirus false positive due to their virus removal, password cracking, system file changing nature. Konboot is one such CD that will set off antivirus software. Its best to scan the CDs that are setting off your antivirus using a site like Virustotal.com and make your own decisions.

Microsoft Surface RT a failure..!!

JUST FOR THE RECORD, you know that the SURFACE RT has faced an epic failure. The credit may go to the confusing name and as well the OS.
It's ironic that apps — one of the areas that x86-versions of Windows have dominated the competition — is one of the biggest problems facing the Surface RT.
In short: There aren't enough apps built for Surface RT available within the Windows Store. The60,000 apps available in the Windows 8 store pale in comparison to the ~400,000 iPad specific apps in the App Store.
Its toatally a disaster to get RT if you are able to spend a few more buck s to buy PRO version. Why wouldn't anyone go for the better alternative.
Meanwhile, Microsoft isn't the only player in the Windows 8 tablet space. Asus, Samsung and Lenovo all have their own Windows 8 tablet or convertible notebooks at various price points.
The Post PC world is certainly upon us. The problem is, it doesn't seem to include room for the Microsoft Surface.

How to Bypass Firewall and open Blocked sites.

1.Ultrasurf -- www.ultrasurf.us

It is the best and the coolest software availablefor bypassing the firewall. It comes as a portable application so there is no need of installation as well. It is configured for Internet Explorer by default so it opens up automatically. For other browsers you have to configure manually.

2.Tor browser

Now, this is another very good software which can be ver useful if ultrasurf doesn't works (which is almost not possible). You can download the vidalia bundle (its the same thing) from https://www.torproject.org

3.Google Translator

It is rather a trick for opening blocked webpages. open "translate.google.com" and write the url of 

the website you wanna open and then click on translate. That's it you will get the webpage in the 

translated window. This trick is quite cool and working.

4.Proxy list

You can get the proxy list and configure your browser manually. My personal favourite is 

"www.samair.ru/proxy/". It is so because the list gets updated very frequently and most of the proxy gives you the decent

"vevo.com" (which is not available in some asian countries).

How to edit a pdf file?

You must be wondering lately how come you cannot edit a pdf file. you click viciously at almost nay possible place in pdf file but you couldnt edit in any ways. Well of course you cannot do this because after all you are using a pdf reader not a editor. So there are three basic ways you can do that -----

1.Convert online

the most common way is that you go online and convert online pdf to docx or say doc. You do the editing and then convert it back to pdf. There are many websites out there that convert it for free.

2.Edit pdf in Adobe Acrobat

Adobe is the  first name which comes in mind when you listen pdf.Everyone knows that Adobe Acrobat is the professional tool to create PDF, and it is a piece of cake to edit PDF file in it. You can open your PDF file in Adobe acrobat, edit it directly, and then save your PDF file. However it’s an expensive software, you need to pay a high price to purchase, and get familiar with all the features first. Many users complain that use the Adobe Acrobat make their computer run slow and it eat up a lot of disk space when the file saved. But it is Not Free and it costs you $229 or above.

3.Nitro pdf

Now this is the one cool software you'll love to use. Nitro pdf is the coolest pdf editor. You can edit a pdf file in whichever way you want.Nitro 8 is latest available version which can cost you few dollars. Cydia  is a software application for iOS that enables a user to find and install software packages on jailbroken iOS Apple devices such as the iPhone. It also refers to digital distribution platform for software on iOS accessed through Cydia software. Some of the software packages available through Cydia are free, and some require purchasing.

Cydia is developed by Jay Freeman (also called "Saurik") and his company, SaurikIT. The name "Cydia" is an allusion to the Codling Moth, with a scientific name of Cydia pomonella, which is the proverbial "worm in the apple.

Purpose And Function---

Cydia provides a graphical user interface to jailbroken users using Advanced Packaging Tool (APT) repositories to install software unavailable on the App Store. Cydia is based on APT, ported to iOS as part of Freeman's Telesphoreo project.

Software packages are downloaded directly to an iOS device, to the same location as Apple's pre-installed applications, the /Applications directory. Jailbroken devices can also still buy and download apps normally from the official App Store.

Cydia can be installed during the process of jailbreaking an iOS device. Some Jailbreaking tools (each of them supporting a specific set of devices and iOS versions) install Cydia automatically, while others provide a choice to the user.

Some of the packages available through Cydia are standard applications, while some packages are extensions and modifications for the iOS interface and for apps in the iOS ecosystem. Cydia enables users to find and install open source packages as well as purchase modifications for jailbroken iPhones. These modifications are based on a framework called MobileSubstrate which makes it relatively easy to install and update said modifications.

In March 2009, Tuaw announced that Cydia store is open. The announcement summarized an experience posted by a website that Amazon payments was the only option available.
